A WORD OF CAUTION FROM MARK BORIEK, PRINCIPAL FISHERIES BIOLOGIST IN NEW JERSEY This past Sat., I was catching some nice channel cats in the muddy Del. River @ the mouth of the Wickecheoke Creek, Stockton, NJ . High & rippin', so I safely tuck in, knee deep, behind flooded vegetation. Three young guys in an aluminum boat were out there,...after nosing into the mouth of the creek, & making a couple of casts, they headed across the swollen river to the downstream end of Hendricks Island. Above the din of rushing water, I heard someone yell. Into the flooded trees,... the boat got pinned against one,....dumping them (wearing life jackets) , & all their stuff. All made up onto to some flooded logs, but were stranded,.....no way back to the PA shore. I found a guy working on the canal....he called 911. Within 30 minutes, two air boats, one from upstream & one from downstream, screamed to their rescue. Tell all Teen Anglers to be careful out there!!!
Mark Mark

CAPT GARY DUBIEL SPEC FEVER GUIDE SERVICE Greetings!
We've finished one of the finest giant red drum seasons we've every
had. Unfortunately, the fish left a little earlier than
expected, but the light tackle fishing is picking up nicely!
Speck fishing is better than expected and redfish and flounder
fishing has been improving. The top water striper bite has
been good at New Bern and the fall is looking great.
Spanish, albacore and bluefish are biting at the Crystal Coast with
the best of the false albacore fishing to come. Albacore dates are
getting limited! Let's here from you soon for some fine autumn
fishing.
Sincerely,
Capt. Gary Dubiel Spec Fever Guide Service
